A couple weeks ago, me and few online friends decided to do another round of the 30 for 30 challenge. The premise is simple; you choose 30 pieces of clothing, and create 30 outfits, in 30 days. A quick look at my Instagram feed will show you that I’m running just “a bit” behind. Okay, actually, I’ve only posted 11 outfit photos in 15 days. I wish I had a really good excuse but the truth is – one day I forgot, another day I didn’t feel like taking a pic, and another day I didn’t get out of my pj’s all day.
I’m totally committed to creating these 30 looks…it just looks like we might be going into May to complete this round. So here is what I’ve worn so far…
{Top & Jeans: Old Navy, Shoes: Nine West}
I wore my day 1 outfit to a photoshoot for a client. It was nice to feel just a little dressed up on an average work day!
{Dress: Target, Shoes: Can’t Remember}
Day 2, I got all dressed up for my friend Salma’s surprise 40th birthday party. Such a fun night!
{Jeans & Cardigan: Old Navy, Top: Walmart, Shoes: Aldo}
Day 3 -Just a regular workday look – I wear jeans a lot when I’m working from home!{On the left: Dress: Old Navy, Leggings: Ardene, Jacket: H&M, Scarf: Old, Shoes: Spring}
{On the right: Kurta: Indian market, Leggings: Ardene, Shoes: Aldo}
Day 4 and 5 were all about the leggings. The look on the left was from a day when I had to meet an out of town client for a photoshoot and a lunch meeting downtown. On the right, working from home. It’s amazing how much my schedule varies from day to day!
{Button up: Walmart, Pants: Gap Factory Store, Shoes: Street market in Amritsar}
I wore this outfit to a super fun pasta and wine tasting event that we hosted for a client on Day 6. It’s been a long time since I wore pants (I fee like they make me look a bit too bootylicious), but I’m loving this pair.
{Dress: Simons, Shoes: Kate Spade for Towne Shoes, Bag: Payless}
Sometimes I channel my inner 12 year old and dress for comfort only. Day 7 was one of those days. {Top: Joe Fresh, Jeans: Old Navy, Shoes: Spring, Necklace: Charming Charlie}
Another day, another social media photoshoot for a client. When I’m assisting on a photo shoot I usually wear jeans, but the 30 for 30 challenge always forces me to reach for accessories. I love how such a simple look is dressed up with a chunky necklace. {Blazer; H&M, Tee: Joe Fresh, Pants: GAP Factory Store, Shoes: Le Chateau}
And on day 9 we dress up. I really didn’t need to dress up for this client meeting, but it was fun. {Jacket: Target, Kurta: Indian market, Jeans; Old Navy, Shoes: Street market Amritsar}
Not sure why, but all my photos for day 10 came out fuzzy. This look is very “me”. It is something you might see me wearing in slightly different variations every week.
{Top: GAP, Skirt: Old Navy, Scarf: Bluenotes, Shoes: Winners}
And on day 11, we have a fail. I’m not loving how this outfit came together, but I’m definitely going to try to style this skirt again because it is super comfy.
So now the fun part, what have we remixed so far!This floral tee is one of my favourite purchases of the season. I love how it works just as well for a dressed up, or dressed down look. Can you believe I found these raspberry capris on sale for just $14.99! I’m pretty sure I’m going to get my money’s worth and then some from these!
My classic go-to…a kurta. You knew this was going to get remixed right?
