Moms 30 for 30 Week 1 Round-Up

We made it through week one of the #moms30for30 challenge! Let’s be honest though, week one is always the easiest because I have all the outfit ideas, and all my clothes are clean and ironed. As I’m writing this post on day 1 of week 2 I’m wearing skinny jeans and a cardigan, pretty basic! But I’ll save that excitement for next week.

I have a favourite look from Week 1, but I’m curious to know what you guys think. Take a look and then make sure you respond to the poll at the bottom of this post k. Mostly because it took me an hour to figure out how to add a poll to my blog post.

DAY 1:

Where:
In office day
In the interest of transparency, our office dress code is pretty low key, and I usually wear ballerina flats or cute sneakers with an outfit like this. Just keeping up with my 30 for 30 day 1 tradition by wearing heels!

What:
Top: Old Navy

Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Le Chateau

DAY 2:

Where:
In office day
Tuesday was a busy day in the office and I was styling photos which means a lot of bending, lifting, reaching, so comfort #FTW! I’m kind of loving loose maxi skirts right now.

What:
Top: Old Navy

Skirt: Reitman’s
Shoes: Converse
Jhola Bag: Hawa Mahal Bazaar, Jaipur

DAY 3:

Where:
Just another day at the office.
This outfit is pretty close to my spring uniform. Usually I wear skinny jeans, a kurti from my local desi market, and a jutti like 3 days a week. Since I left kurti’s out of the mix for this edition of the 30 for 30, I’m substituting with this long tunic and an embroidered dupatta.

What:
Top: Old Navy

Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Random bazaar in Amritsar
Dupatta: Flying Fashions in Payal Plaza, Surrey

DAY 4:

Where:
Picking up product from a vendor, and on location photos
At this point of the week I’m realizing that the GAP group of companies basically should have sponsored my 30 for 30 challenge. I know I should try other places but I feel like Old Navy and GAP are just so easy for me to shop at. They have my size, their pants are cut for real women with curves, and they are reasonably priced.

What:
Dress: GAP

Cardigan: Old Navy
Shoes: Aldo

DAY 5:

Where:
In Office Day
I spent an abnormal amount of days in the office last week, I’m usually on the go more than this! So this outfit is a bit out of my comfort zone – over sized and baggy, plus I have my hair up. I wasn’t really sure about the look, but it got a lot of interaction and comments on Instagram, especially the patterned tights!

What:
Dress: Old Navy

Cardigan: GAP
Patterned Tights: RW & Co
Shoes: Spring Shoes

DAY 6:

Where:
Lazy home day + a few necessary errands
Not going to lie, my hair is totally unwashed and oily under that cap, and the only reason I ‘got dressed’ on Saturday was this challenge

What:
Top: Old Navy

Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Converse
Baseball Cap: BlueNotes

DAY 7:

Where:
Mehfil Chai Event
On Sunday I attended an event on behalf of a client. It was kind of like an open mic night for poets, authors, singers. It was a nice break from my everyday. The top I’m wearing here has been sitting in the ‘should I donate?’ pile for almost 3 months now, and I’ve only worn it twice (counting this day). Still not sure if I’ll keep it, but I don’t mind it here. What do you think?

What:
Top: Reitman’s

Skirt: Reitman’s
Shoes: Sam & Edelman via Marshalls
Jhola Bag: Hawa Mahal Bazaar, Jaipur

So which look was your favourite, I’d love to know! You can also see my daily looks on Instagram {@pinkchai} if you don’t want to wait till next week.

Long skirt with sneakers is one of my favorite combos. That may come from my days in a cult! lol
